A liberal arts education trains you to think critically and to see the big picture. In the Information Age, quantitative skills are an increasingly critical part of that education. Understanding data will benefit your career, your personal life, and your role as a citizen.
Emory’s Institute for Quantitative Theory and Methods provides you the opportunity to gain these skills and apply them to your particular field of study—all without having to major in math or statistics. Our unique Quantitative Sciences major allows you to combine your academic and career interests with your desire for quantitative skills, giving you new perspectives on what you’re studying as well as a competitive advantage when you graduate. Or, with our new Applied Mathematics and Statistics major, you can focus on quantitative research with training that draws on the resources of both the Institute and Emory’s Mathematics and Computer Science Department.
